Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Saturday, June 16, 2012

I hit this past Saturday night, my third Pick-4 win this meet. Last night I didn’t have the winner of the sixth race. I’m down $105.10 on the meet.

For the championship meet I’m going to try more realistic, and more creative, tickets to see how that works out but be forewarned that even with much more of a spread, it’s still not easy to hit a Pick-4 at this track.

$1 play: 37910/146/256/57 = $72

Analysis:

Race 6: I’m using all four of my contenders in this wide open pace, which features several good horses dropping in class.

Race 7: This is the final of the King of the Fours. I used the two obvious horses here but I also used my top pick, (1) Frog Juice, a one-dimensional closer who will need to work out a trip.

Race 8: Another wide open race. (5) Big Bam Ray has been sharp in every start and moves into a better post but I also used two dropdown horses, (2) Sir Ziggy’s Z Tam and (6) Shoobee’s Place.

Race 9: (5) Shark Dressed Man was my best bet at 7-1 last time and finished a solid second to a repeat winner. (7) Four Starz Bling left in :26.2 from post 10 last start and held well for the show.
