Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Saturday, June 2, 2012

Wow last night hurt. In the 6th, my top pick won and paid $24.00. In the 7th, I used two horses and my 2nd choice won and paid $13.00. In the 8th, I used two horses and my 4th choice won the race, then in the 9th my top pick won, so I had 3 out of 4 again. The Pick 4 paid $801.60, which was a very good price because the winners in the first two legs were both overlays. Tonight’s sequence is interesting but not easy.

For the championship meet I’m going to try more realistic, and more creative, tickets to see how that works out but be forewarned that even with much more of a spread, it’s still hard to hit a Pick 4 at this track.

Analysis

6th Race: $150,000 Jersey Sire Stakes. I’m using the two obvious horses, I FOUGHT DALAW and A ROCKNROLL DANCE. This should be a good race with a fast pace.

7th Race: This is a pretty tough race but I’m using my top two picks, MCGREAT and GAELIC THUNDER. Bettors with deep pockets will use anywhere from 4 to 6 horses here.

8th Race: This is a weak race in the middle of quality races. I’m using all four of my contenders.

9th Race: Good race with a few interesting drop downs. PANESTHETIC is my Best Bet and I almost singled him but I’m also using classy SOUTHWESTERN DREAM.
