Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Thursday, June 2, 2011

After seven nights at the Meadowlands I’m down $170 and haven’t hit a Pick-4. Saturday night I had two solid singles on a small $16 ticket and I hit the first three legs, but the final race looked tough and it proved my undoing.

$1 play: 46/23/239/46 = $24

Analysis:

Race 6: (6) Tui has been much improved this year and gets a key driver change to Tetrick tonight. I’m also using (4) Redwhitenbluestone who showed some potential last year for Greg Peck.

Race 7: (2) Steal The Diamonds faded in last at Chester but the pace was hot and Pena gave him a few weeks off. (3) Rock Solid broke in last but was a solid winner two back.

Race 8: (3) Smile A Little had no shot in the Hempt Final at Pocono but gets a key driver change to Sears here. I’m also using (2) Waldy Jimmy. He ships in sharp and gets Tetrick, and (9) Lizard King had no shot chasing Big Jim in last two starts.

Race 9: (4) The Evictor gets a big driver change from his trainer to Andy Miller. I thought (6) Psyched had a shot last week but he lacked a rally; he may have needed the race. I’m going to a shot and leave the favorite out; (8) Carthage Hanover had a tough wide trip in last and finished well for hot barn but he comes from far back.
