Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Saturday, June 25, 2011

After 16 nights of Pick-4 selections at the Meadowlands, including this past Thursday night, I’m down $348 and haven’t hit a Pick-4. Tonight’s sequence looks very tough and I’m not going after it aggressively.

$1 play: 178/14/1/16 = $12

Analysis:

Race 6: This is a tough race to handicap. I’m using my top two choices (1-7) and then I also used a longshot, (8) Sam Hill, who didn’t even make my top four contenders in my analysis but is one of many that have a chance at a price here.

Race 7: (4) Native Lightning is coming around now and (1) The Midnight Owl N was used in the pace and also seems to be rounding to form.

Race 8: (1) Hit Away could falter as he leaves the barn where he does so well but Allard has been hot and I’m using this as a single.

Race 9: (1) Takeshigemichi would have won last if he had clearance but (6) Woodstock Hanover has plenty of class and qualified sharply.
