Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Friday, June 29, 2012

I’ve hit four Pick-4s so far this meet, the highest paying $238 for $1 and I’m down $127 on the meet. I didn’t like the sequence last night so I only bet $12 and lost. I’m sticking with another small ticket tonight.

For the championship meet I’m going to try more realistic, and more creative, tickets to see how that works out, but be forewarned that even with much more of a spread, it’s still not easy to hit a Pick-4 at this track.

Analysis:

Race 6: (3) Chapter Seven was awesome in his 4-year-old debut last week and is a single for me.

Race 7: I think you can go two ways here, either use the two morning line favorites, or spread out to four or five horses. I’m going to stick with (2) Sterling Volo and (4) Modern Family, two improving 3-year-olds.

Race 8: Wide open race. (4) Dragon Princess and (8) Odds On Adventure are the obvious horses, but I also like the driver change to Corey Callahan on (2) VC Atom N and (10) Nite Games went a big three move trip in last.

Race 9: This is a potentially treacherous race because there aren’t any solid choices here and some of these trotters may break. I’m going with two drop downs, (3) Gotabgoodtoblucky and (7) Upfrontstrikesgold, but this race is wide open.
