Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Friday, June 7, 2013

Last week’s results: I opened the championship meet with a winning Pick-4 two weeks ago. My $18 ticket returned $163.60. Last Friday I played a $16 ticket. My single Miss Sand Creek won but I only had two of four. On Saturday I played an $18 ticket and hit it for $206.60. Sometimes I’m not sure if I’m using the right strategy but Saturday night I did. I took a stand against favored Golden Receiver. I figured if he won the payoff would be low and I had a feeling he was going to lose anyway. Tonight’s sequence looks pretty difficult.

Analysis:

Race 7: (6) Abrokenheart Hanover was scratched sick last week. She recently won a key race over a filly who came back with two sharp wins. I don’t want to play a big ticket so I’ll single her.

Race 8: This race is tough. My contenders are 2, 3, 7 and 9 with (9) Go Tapaig my top pick. I’ll use all four.

Race 9: I’m going to single (5) Sir Jillian Z Tam. She takes a key drop and gets a better post.

Race 10: You should be able to cover this race going four deep but I’m going to single (8) How ’bout A Smooch. I liked her race two back and I think Tetrick can establish position here.
