Pandy’s Picks: March 28 M

by Bob Pandolfo

Bob Pandolfo offers his picks for the $50,000 Pick-4 at Meadowlands Racetrack on March 28, part of the U.S. Trotting Association Strategic Wagering Program.

Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Friday, March 28, 2014

Saturday night one of my horses was scratched so I only had an $8 ticket, which lost. I have one hit so far this year for $1,144.50 on the whale ticket and no winners on the standard tickets. Meet totals: 33 plays, 0 hits, -$1,034. Whale ticket: 14 plays, one hit, -$2,695.50.

Standard ticket: $1 play: 6/67/35/12 = $8
Standard ticket two: $2 play: 6/6/35/1 = $4
Whale ticket: $1 play: 6/6710/3510/1210 = 27

Analysis:

Race 7: Tonight’s sequence looks easier than most of the winter cards. (6) Boadicea Hanover lost as the favorite after setting the pace last week. That was her first start since March and her first at this reduced level. This is my Best Bet tonight.

Race 8: (6) Pan Luis Obispo raced very sharp in both of her starts this year. (7) Art Ideal has really come into her own but she steps up into a tough field here. I’m still using her.

Race 9: (3) Lexis Amigo had trot on both ends in a race he probably needed. (5) The Triple Lindy drops and could be tough.

Race 10: (1) Skyline Road drops while in fine form. (2) Riverrfest also faces weaker.
