Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Friday, May 17, 2013

Last week’s results: I opened the championship meet with a winning Pick-4 two weeks ago. My $18 ticket returned $163.60. Last week, no luck. On Friday I played an $8 ticket but a $46.00 bomb won the seventh and I was out. On Saturday I had a $48 ticket and I covered the first three legs but not the final race.

Tonight’s sequence looks so difficult that I decided to just play a small ticket because my confidence level is low.

$1 play: 1469/2/3/5 = $4.00

Analysis:

Race 7: I’ll use all four of my contenders in the first leg, 1-4-6-9.

Race 8: I’ll single (2) Ringside Lauryn here. She has won at this level and she picks up Gingras.

Race 9: I’m going to single (3) Superstar Hanover. She has more than $500,000 in earnings and she needed last off the layoff.

Race 10: I’m going to single (5) Variety Girl, who had a tough trip in her second start last week and should improve tonight.
