Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Saturday, May 21, 2011

After four nights at the Meadowlands I’m down $88 and haven’t hit a Pick-4. I guess it’s not as easy as Balmoral and Northfield.

$1 play: 157/1910/26/47 = $36

Analysis:

Race 6: Tough sequence tonight as expected. I used the obvious horses here but also longshot Silent Swing, who steps up sharp and has 42 career wins for $1.4 milion.

Race 7: Takeshigemichi went some surprising miles here last year including one in 1:49.1 and he’s racing in good form. Sears seems to get the best out of him. I also used the two outside horses, Benns Superman and He’s Gorgeous. This is a wide open race.

Race 8: I used the two obvious horses here, Hypnotist and Master Stroke, but it’s not easy.

Race 9: Keep Going just raced three days ago at Pocono so I’m not sure if he’ll go here. Major Secret seems to be coming around but this is a wide open race with no standouts.
