Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Friday, May 25, 2012

Dropped $60 Saturday to reduce the profit to $75.90. I didn’t hit even one Pick-4 during the winter meet, but I played small tickets. So far this new strategy of playing more combinations is working better. I’ve hit two. Tonight’s sequence is very tough.

For the championship meet I’m going to try more realistic, and more creative, tickets to see how that works out but be forewarned that even with much more of a spread, it’s still hard to hit a Pick-4 at this track.

$1 play: 356/127/189/46 = $54

Analysis:

Race 6: Tough race. I’m using two obvious contenders and one longshot, (3) Bells On Wheels.

Race 7: Another tough race, although I think you could make a case for using (2) Lanson as a single; he looks to be sitting on a big effort and he drops. But I also used (1) Ellen’a Isle and (7) Coco Lindy.

Race 8: There are two drop downs here, the 8 and 9, but I also used (1) Signal as she comes off a game grinding effort and is moving forward.

Race 9: No singles for me tonight, using two here, (6) Fancy and (4) Cathy’s Princess, but the race is wide open.
