Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 6-9, Saturday, May 26, 2012

I had three of four last night and lost $54 to reduce the profit to $21.90. The Pick-4 paid $247.80 with three favorites and a second choice, great price, wow.

For the championship meet I’m going to try more realistic, and more creative, tickets to see how that works out but be forewarned that even with much more of a spread, it’s still hard to hit a Pick-4 at this track.

$1 play: 358/1410/346/26 = $54

Analysis:

Race 6: (5) Alexie Mattosie was my single last week and got a difficult trip, now drops and gets a better spot but I’m using three here including (8) Mystic Desire, who ships in and drops for Croghan.

Race 7: I’m using the two obvious favorites and a classy colt coming off a layoff.

Race 8: This is a tough race. I’m using three including one potential price horse, (6) Mysterious Moment. Several horses drop to the bottom here, making the race wide open.

Race 9: (2) Heart Of Rocknroll is 15-1 on the morning line but beat tougher here last month and I took a shot at a price; also using (6) Lucky Man who takes a sharp drop shipping in for a high percentage barn.
