Pandy’s Picks: Nov. 29 M

by Bob Pandolfo

Bob Pandolfo offers his picks for the $50,000 Pick-4 at Meadowlands Racetrack on Nov. 29, part of the U.S. Trotting Association Strategic Wagering Program.

Meadowlands Pick-4, Races 7-10, Saturday, Nov. 29, 2014

I finished up the Championship meet with a profit of $162.75 on my whale ticket and a loss of $70.40 on my standard ticket. Last Friday night I hit the Pick-4 for 50 cents and it paid $109.70 on my $18 whale ticket. It was a nice profit because my two tickets only totaled $22. Saturday night two of my horses were scratched and my loss was $12.

Standard ticket: 50 cent play: 24/24/1248/12 = $16
Whale ticket: 50 cent play: 24/2456/1248/12 = $32

Analysis:

Race 7: Good race for Free for All pacers. (3) Sweet Lou raced gamely last week and this is supposed to be his last race tonight, but I think he may bounce off that strenuous effort, so I’m going to take a stand against him and use (2) Modern Legend and (4) Clear Vision.

Race 8: This is a very tough race. I’m going to use all four of my contenders on the whale ticket and my top two choices, favorite (2) Iam Bonasera and longshot (4) Delaware Hanover, on my standard ticket.

Race 9: I thought this race was wide open. I picked a longshot drop down horse, (2) My Temudjin N, but I’ll also use my other contenders.

Race 10: (2) Wishing Stone is my upset pick here, he never really got into the race when 10th early last week. (1) Creatine was very game last week. I’m going to take a stand against (50 Sebastian K, although he could be tough off the freshening.
