Ft. Washington, MD — George Bartlett and Alvin Mindel’s Paradusho N is set to open on the board as the 2-1 morning line choice in a $4,400 non-winners event for filly and mare pacers at Rosecroft Raceway on Saturday, March 17.

The veteran 10-year-old Road Machine mare, trained by Bartlett, drew post position two in the tough field of six. Recently, the mare has been competing at The Meadowlands with minor success, but shows a win at Rosecroft on February 3 in 1:56.3 with Frank Milby in the sulky. Bartlett has again granted Milby the driving assignment.

Time For Her Hero, from post position five, is the 7-2 second choice on the board. The 6-year-old Western Hero mare, trained by Manley Brown, Jr. for owner Belle Bauman, wired a similar field last week in 1:57.4. This week, Donnie Russell will drive rather than John Wagner.

Cannae Peggy is another to consider from the outside post at 4-1 odds. Owned and trained by Basil Sapienza, the 5-year-old Falcon Seelster mare won a $10,000 claiming class last week at Rosecroft Raceway against similar stock. Wayne Long will be in the sulky and the pair will face the starter in post position six.

The remainder of the field is equally well matched: Dolly’s Pocket, a second place finisher last week, drew the rail at 9-2 morning line odds. Owned and trained by Patricia Ogonowski, the 7-year-old In The Pocket mare shows a line of 1-4-2 across the board from seven seasonal starts. Corey Braden will be in the bike for the mile.

Badlands Queen, the longest shot in the race at 8-1 odds, will leave the gate from post position three with Tony Schadel in the sulky. Syl King, Jr. trains the 5-year-old Badlands Hanover mare for the Serendipity Stable. The mare finished third to Cannae Peggy in her last start in 1:58.3.

Also at 9-2 odds, Blissfully High will compete from post position four with trainer Brian Burton at her lines. The 5-year-old Blissfull Hall mare, co-owned by Brian and Martin Burton, is dropping down in class after competing at Freehold Raceway on March 7.

Post time for Saturday’s 12-race card is 7:20 p.m.
