Columbus, OH — Two-time defending Dan Patch Award winner Peaceful Way qualified this morning at Mohawk Racetrack in 1:55. She won by eight lengths over Susie’s Magic, the 2006 Breeders Crown 3-year-old filly trot champion.

With regular driver Trevor Ritchie up, the 6-year-old Angus Hall mare cut fractions of :29.1, :58.2 and 1:27.1, before putting up a :27.4 final quarter to reach the wire in 1:55 on a track rated “good.”

Owned by Goin My Way Stable, Marvin Katz, Al Libfeld, Sam Goldband, Angie Stiller, and trainer Dave Tingley, Peaceful Way won Dan Patch Awards in each of the last two years as the top older trotting mare in the sport. She has won 33 of 46 lifetime starts, with earnings of $2,706,055.

Tingley told Standardbred Canada’s Insider News that he hopes the mare’s next start will be in Sweden in the Elitlopp.
