Perfect Alliance has been named the February Horse of the Month by the United States Trotting Association.

Owned by Little E LLC, Jason Settlemoir, David Stolz and Arthur Geiger, the Credit Winner-Yalta Hanover mare is currently trained by Julie Miller and her regular driver is Andy Miller. She was trained as a 2- and 3-year-old by Bob Bencal.

Perfect Alliance is a perfect four-for-four in 2014 and has season’s earnings of $28,750. Lifetime, she has won six times in 22 starts, with earnings of $100,901.

Perfect Alliance opened up her month with a 1:54 triumph from post 10 in a $15,000 conditioned trot on Feb. 7 at Meadowlands Racetrack.

She followed that up with 1:53.3 and 1:53.2 scores in the first two legs of the Singer Series at the Meadowlands. In the Feb. 20 opening leg, Perfect Alliance came from off the pace to grab the lead at the three-quarter pole and then went on to a 7-3/4 length romp over Ray Hall. She changed her tactics on Feb. 27, going right to the front from post eight in the second leg of the Singer series and was never caught in posting a 3-1/4 length triumph over Ray Hall.

The $53,200 (est.) final of the Singer Series will be this Saturday (March 8) at the Meadowlands.

“She’s got everything going for her; a great pedigree line, great conformation and a great attitude,” trainer Julie Miller told Harness Racing Communications’ Ken Weingartner in a story last month on ustrotting.com. “There’s not much more you could ask for with a trotter.

“What I’m really impressed with are her manners. She’s easy on herself. She’s a huge mare and she’s got a great gait to her. She does it with ease, and that’s what you want. Not to exert a lot of energy but get great results. I’m just really happy with her.
