Yonkers, NY — Yonkers Raceway’s winter wagerland continues this weekend, with the opening round of both the Petticoat and Sagamore Hill pacing series for ladies and gentlemen, respectively.

The series, for 3- and 4-year-olds, were open to non-winners of four races and/or $40,000 through last Dec. 1. Each prelim event is worth $12,500, with the $50,000 (est.) finals set for March 28 (Petticoat) and 29 (Sagamore Hill).

Round One of the Petticoat attracted six divisions this Friday night (races three through eight), while Saturday night’s opener of the Sagamore Hill drew eight trials (races two through nine). Please note that the Friday and Saturday programs each feature 13 races for your dining and dancing pleasure.

Yonkers Raceway has moved to a five-night-per-week live racing schedule. Thursdays have been added to the usual Monday/Tuesday/Friday/Saturday fare, all at the usual 7:40 p.m. first post.

Evening simulcasting accompanies all live programs, with afternoon simulcasting available around the NYRA schedule.
