Every Thursday night through the end of the current meet, Cal Expo offers a reduced 15 percent takeout rate on the two Pick-4s, with the Late Pick-4 coming attached with a $10,000 guaranteed gross pool. I have put together a $48 ticket in hopes of hitting Thursday’s Late Pick-4, which cover races five through eight on the program.

$1 play: 13/13/3567/236 = $48

Analysis:

In the opening leg for trotters, I have gone with Bit O Lavec (1) and Ailene’s Prince (3), while in the next race I use the same two numbers with Shoot The Works (1) and Little Box Out (3) on my ticket.

In the seventh race, I go four deep by using Hannah Hannah (3), Feetdontfailmenow (5), A Girl Named Fred (6) and Cattle Baron (7).

In the finale, I round out the $48 play with Pussy Cat (2), Try This (3) and Irish Whiskey (6).
