Post positions drawn for North America Cup

TORONTO, June 13, 2006 – The post position draw for the 23rd edition of the Pepsi North America Cup took place Tuesday at Woodbine with Paul Maurice, head coach of the National Hockey League’s Toronto Maple Leafs, on hand as celebrity drawmaster.

The C$1.5-million final has been carded as the sixth race (9:40 p.m.) for Saturday evening’s program of racing.

The elimination winners (Feelin Friskie, Dave Panlone and Doonbeg) were drawn first in order for their connections to select their post positions before the balance of the field was drawn.

Doonbeg’s name was drawn first, followed by Feelin Friskie and then Dave Panlone.
