Dover, DE — Prince Of Luck outclosed Redford Hall and Noble Tess to win last week’s $32,500 Delaware Special Invitational Pace and the trio will renew their rivalry on Monday, November 12, in the Dover Downs feature. The strong program includes a $26,000 Open Pace and three $20,000 Winners Over Paces on the undercard. Post time is 4:30 p.m.

Last week Johnny Waite’s Noble Tess, driven by Jim Morand, was under duress for most of the mile, first by Beware Beret, with Ron Pierce driving for Mike Zimmerman, John Paradee and trainer Erika Paradee, then by Lloyd Arnold’s Redford Hall, with Tony Morgan. Meanwhile Prince Of Luck, owned by Bonnie Allen and Brenda Harper, began to move up from sixth and was at the top of his game en route to a :28.1 final panel and a 1:51.1 victory, a lifetime best for the 5-year-old Camluck gelding.

For the first time in more than a month, Carter Racing Stable and trainer Bobby Myers’ Immortal Quest N and reinsman Eddie Davis Jr., have a dramatic change in post position, from the outside to the rail this week.

Rounding out the field will be Arty Foster, Jr.’s Village Blitz, with Tim Tetrick, and Thin Blue Line, with Mike Cole driving for Paul McDougall and WJ McDougall Racing.

Harry Von Knoblauch’s Chris Riley N steps up from an impressive 1:51.3 victory with Ross Wolfenden last week into the $26,000 Open ranks. Two other starters moving up are Patchel Family Stable’s Home Run Hudson, with Vic Kirby driving, and Dennis Lane’s Foolish Grin, handled by Tony Morgan.

Offering strong opposition are Ken Wood’s Ross The Boss N, piloted by Roger Plante; What A View, leaving from the rail with Jim Morand for owners Donick Stables and trainer Wayne Givens; and Sylvia Burke, Kevin Koury and M1 Stable’s Doggone Incredible, teamed with Tim Tetrick.

The other starters are Bullion Bill A, owned by Irving Bork and trainer Erika Paradee, with Ron Pierce in the bike, and Boy Oh Boy Stable and Joseph Scala’s Marchand, with Corey Callahan.

Monday through Thursday post time is 4:30 p.m. Friday is a dark day. Saturday and Sunday racing begins at 5:30 p.m. There is no charge for parking or admission. Reservations are suggested for the Winner’s Circle Restaurant. Call (302) 674-4600.
