Berry’s Creek champion Brandon’s Cowboy heads up a field of 30 sophomore pacing colts in Windsor Raceway’s signature race, the Provincial Cup.

A trio of C$25,000 eliminations will be contested this Sunday night (May 23) at Windsor, with the C$450,000 (est.) Final set for Sunday, May 30th.

Martin Scharf’s Brandon’s Cowboy will have to overcome the nine hole in Sunday’s third and final elimination. The son of The Panderosa is coming off a nose triumph over Four Starzzz King in the $260,000 Berry’s Creek Final on May 8 at The Meadowlands. The Mark Ford-trainee has won five of his six starts so far this season, with earnings of $204,695.

F S Starzzzz Stables Incorporated’s Four Starzzz King has drawn post 10 in Sunday’s first elimination. A winner in seven of his 10 starts this year, he has victories in the $110,800 Matt’s Scooter Final and the $95,000 Junior Trendsetter Final to his credit. He was the early leader in the Berry’s Creek Final before having to settle for second money.

The three eliminations are featured as races nine, 11 and 13. The top three finishers in each elimination will advance to the final. Here are the fields in post position order:

The Standardbred Canada website reported that the eliminations, originally drawn Thursday morning, had to be redrawn on Thursday afternoon because of common ownership issues among entries.
