Swoosh Hanover matches track record in win at Pocono

Wilkes-Barre, PA — Swoosh Hanover romped to a conditioned trotting win and matched a track record in the process on Tuesday afternoon at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

Trained by Richard Johnson and driven by Tim Tetrick, Swoosh Hanover, a 3-year-old filly by Lindy Lane out of Swift Kathy, rolled to a win in a $7,500 non-winners of two trot in 1:54.4. The time matched the track record for 3-year-old filly trotters set just four days ago by Lantern Kronos.

Owned by Fabulous Farms LLC, Swoosh Hanover has won three straight races after a third in her debut in May. The previous two wins came at Mohawk.

Leader Of The Bax leads the way in Meadows Series

Meadow Lands, PA — Leader Of The Bax converted a perfect pocket trip to victory on Tuesday at The Meadows, taking a division of the Mary Wohlmuth Trot for freshman fillies.

Leader Of The Bax made her winning move around the far turn, drawing off to triumph by three lengths in 2:01.4 over Nordic Nymph. Lasers Kayde passed the tired Allamerican Phoebe for show. In the $23,000 Filly & Mare Preferred Handicap Trot, Go Get Blanche was pushed extremely wide in the lane but continued her sustained rally. She scored for Tony Hall in 1:56.2, a half-length better than That Fly’n Angel. B V’s Sister was third. Sharlene Dufford trains Go Get Blanche, a daughter of Go Get Lost, and owns with Phillip B.
