Rainbow Blue and Timesareachanging to meet?

Delaware, OH — Horse of the Year and three-year-old filly champion Rainbow Blue and 2004 Little Brown Jug winner and three-year-old colt champion Timesareachanging could meet in the 2005 Magical Mike Pace on Thursday, September 22 at the Delaware, Ohio County Fair.

Rainbow Blue and Timesareachanging are among 51 pacers (four-years-old and older) who are eligible to the $102,000 (est.) Magical Mike sponsored by Thomas J. Walsh and the Delaware County Fair. The race is named for the 1994 Little Brown Jug champion.

Rainbow Blue won 20 of 21 starts in 2004 including such premier events as the Breeders Crown, Fan Hanover and Glen Garnsey Memorial. Trained by George Teague, Jr., she earned $1,195,010 and took a race record of 1:49.4. Rainbow Blue will make her 2005 racing debut next week at Dover Downs.

Timesareachanging won 10 of 21 starts for trainer Brett Pelling, including the Jug, Cane Pace (dead-heated with Western Terror) and Adios. He was second to Holbron Hanover in the Meadowlands Pace Final and second to Metropolitan in the Messenger Stakes. Timesareachanging, who has not begun his four-year-old campaign, earned $1,147,217 and paced in 1:48.4 in 2004.

Among other pacers eligible to the Magical Mike Pace are 2004 winner Royal Mattjesty, Metropolitan, Holborn Hanover, Yankee Lariat, Whosurboy, Geartogear and Santastic’s Pan.
