On Wednesday (Feb. 27), Northfield Park features a $10,000 guaranteed Pick-4 pool. The Pick-4 begins in race eight. Northfield Park’s Pick-5, Pick-4 and the Pick-3s offer a reduced takeout rate of just 14 percent.

Analysis:

Race 8: (1) Bee Mischievous makes her second start off of a layoff and has every reason to show vast improvement. (6) Kickstand has been on the ticket in five of his last six starts and looks to be there again tonight.

Race 9: (1) Laser Lucy draws the inside advantage and that advantage may be key to posting a victory tonight. (4) Calchips Muscle just won this class and looks to have a big shot again tonight. (6) Bookem has the ability to romp past his competition but does not appear to be at his best.

Race 10: (1) Epes has 46 career victories, draws the rail and could garner career win 47 tonight. (5) Morningsailor’s form runs hot and cold but could do well if he races at his best.

Race 11: (1) Bruisen N Cruisen has been facing tougher competition in Pennsylvania; could do well against Ohio foes. (2) Gallows Pole has won two of his last three starts and has a big shot to do well tonight, too.
