On Tuesday (Jan. 1), Northfield Park will be offering a $10,000 guaranteed pool in the Pick-4. The Pick-4 has a reduced takeout rate of just 14 percent and starts in the eighth race.

Analysis:

Race 8: (1) Whattafine Rusty draws better, drops in class and looks to be able to secure a victory. (2) Duck Hook drops in class and has the ability to be prominently placed on the ticket.

Race 9: (1) Baubletina almost lasted in her most recent effort; gets the job done tonight.

Race 10: (1) Yoo Hoo Bunny makes a second start off of a layoff, drops in class and this field may be at his mercy. (6) Fueled N Waiting drops in class and has a big shot to do well.

Race 11: (2) Awsome Andrea drops in class; looks to go to the lead and keep it.
