On Wednesday (Jan. 2), Northfield Park will be offering a $10,000 guaranteed pool in the Pick-4. The Pick-4 has a reduced takeout rate of just 14 percent and starts in the eighth race.

Analysis:

Race 8: (2) Firstclassflight draws into a very competitive race; has as good of a shot as any to secure a victory. (3) Miss Tidewater is another with a big shot to do very well. (5) CB Sammie Suit just posted a win at this level of competition and looks to do well again tonight.

Race 9: (1) Towner’s Greatlady scored off of a perfect trip in her most recent start; could receive the same trip tonight. (2) Dawn Of New Money draws much better tonight and could finish much better too.

Race 10: (1) Lock Up’s Galley came up a tad short last start; could be looking for revenge. (5) ER Sister has consecutive victories and could score a threepeat tonight.

Race 11: (1) Kay Low just posted an impressive victory; draws the rail and could repeat tonight. (2) Best Tasting has been producing solid performances and looks to be solid again tonight. (9) Royal Cam Osborne should get a good trip from the second tier.
