On Monday (July 22), Northfield Park will be offering a $10,000 guaranteed pool in the Pick-4. The Pick-4 has a reduced takeout rate of just 14 percent and starts in the eighth race.

Analysis:

Race 8: (4) Button Fly has been beaten by No. 5 two weeks in a row but will try and turn the tables tonight. (5) Wanna Win has consecutive victories and will attempt to garner a threepeat tonight.

Race 9: (1) Jess Perfect draws the inside advantage and that advantage may be key to doing well tonight. (3) The Raincatcher has a big shot to win in here if she minds her manners. (8) Broadway Blues could do well in here despite starting from the outside.

Race 10: (1) Shawanda draws the rail and that makes him a major player in here. (3) Rounding Third should not be overlooked as a serious competitor in this highly competitive field. (5) Misty’s Dignity sees Beachy hand the lines to Wrenn and look for some results. (9) Action-Ear-To-Ear won this class last time out and could strike again tonight.

Race 11: (3) Mach Force One has three runner-up finishes in a row and tries to step it up another notch tonight. (4) Mosh Pit was successful last week for his new connections and can do well again tonight. (6) Tumblin Dice has three wins in a row but races straight NW2 instead of claimers now.
