Northfield Park Pick-5, races 3-7, Tuesday, May 28, 2013

On Tuesday (May 28), Northfield Park will offer a $35,000 guaranteed total pool in the Pick-5. Beginning in race three, the $35,000 guarantee includes a carryover of $7,042.15. Northfield Park’s Pick-5, Pick-4 and Pick-3s offer a reduced takeout rate of just 14 percent.

Analysis:

Race 3: (7) Whizzy Izzy has competed against better and could do well here if she minds her manners. (9) Action Brody Hall looks to make his career debut a winning one.

Race 4: (3) Mega Hall looked to be the winner last start when he broke stride; could do well here if he minds his manners. (4) Put Back drops in class and looks to be at a level where he could post a win.

Race 5: (5) Action On Lavec was the winner in her most recent effort; only time will tell how she handles the jump in class. (7) Trainer Dunn looks to be a solid stakes contender this year and looks to be solid in here, too. (9) I Been Counting should get a good trip from the second tier.

Race 6: (2) West River Tex just paced in 1:52; a repeat of that effort wins again tonight.

Race 7: (6) Oak Ridge Boy has won two of his last three races at this level of competition and looks to win again tonight. (9) Careless Love looks to do well in her Cleveland debut.

Northfield Park Pick-4, races 8-11, Tuesday, May 28, 2013

On Tuesday (May 28), Northfield Park will be offering a $10,000 guaranteed pool in the Pick-4. The Pick-4 has a reduced takeout rate of just 14 percent and starts in the eighth race.

Analysis:

Race 8: (1) Jovial Joker N is a classy campaigner that looks to do well in here if he is over his sickness. (3) Cruise On Osborne looks to be sharp and is racing well; looks to do well again tonight.

Race 9: (1) Traczar has been no worse than second in his last four starts and that looks to be the case again tonight. (4) Beans And Weenies has won two of his last three races and is one of several who could take this week’s top pace. (7) Lite Me Up could do well in here despite the poor post draw.

Race 10: (1) Classic JJ just posted a win at this level of competition; draws the rail and could repeat a victory tonight. (2) Jumpin Jack J returns to Cleveland from Scioto; shows doing well here before he took his trip to Columbus. (3) Northern Attack makes his second start for his new connections and has reason to improve.

Race 11: (3) Facial Expressions comes in off of a big win at Scioto and has a big shot to do well again tonight. (5) Norma’s Rose looks to make the lead and will carry them as far as she can. (6) Talladega Hanover was the runner-up last week; could grab the top prize tonight.
