On Wednesday, Oct. 19, Northfield Park is again offering a $10,000 guaranteed pool in the Pick-4. The Pick-4 has a reduced take-out rate of just 14 percent (the lowest in harness racing) and starts in the eighth race.

Last Monday’s $27.00 posted ticket went four-for-four and hit for $111.70. You have to pick what you like, even if it will not pay a lot, because cashing a modest ticket is better than cashing no ticket while trying to chase the longshots. Good luck!

Analysis:

Race 8: (1) Class Worker has the rail, shows some lines against better, could rebound from last week’s clunker. (2) The Bomb has had a few starts since coming from Canada, changes barns, changes driver, this one could wake up. (3) Fake Embrace A. Milner barn has been hot, this one could be no exception.

Race 9: ALL

Race 10: (3) I Know Your Lookin just paced in 1:54; a repeat of that looks to win in here.

Race 11: (3) Blue Boy has lifetime earnings of almost $400,000 and $84,000 last year; could win this on class alone.
