Northfield Park Pick-4, Races 8-11, Monday, Sept. 24, 2012

On Monday (Sept. 24), Northfield Park will be offering a $15,000 guaranteed pool in the Pick-4. The Pick-4 has a reduced takeout rate of just 14 percent (the lowest in harness racing) and starts in the eighth race.

Analysis:

Race 8: (3) No Fault Friskie was the runner-up last time out; could step up and strike tonight. (6) Western Point has been on the ticket in both of her last two starts; looks to keep the streak alive. (8) JD Three could be heard from despite a poor post draw.

Race 9: (1) Dr Jacks Shack draws much better tonight and could strike from the pole. (3) Dragon A Harley has been pacing solid miles at Raceway; that could translate into success in Cleveland. (7) Peel Away makes a first start for the red-hot Clabaugh barn and could improve.

Race 10: (1) Von Scootlaunch makes a second start on Lasix and has every reason to improve. (3) Kilo Shark has been racing well for his new connections; that should continue.

Race 11: (1) Foolproof draws much better and could finish better, too. (2) Heavenly Deo received a brutal trip last time out; should be tight and ready. (7) Teela’s Splash just won this class; has her work cut out from post seven, but could still get the job done.
