Farceur Pierji was the sales topper at $214,000.

Ready Cash is the talk of the town, not only in France, but all over Europe. He is the sire of French trotting sensation Bold Eagle, the best French 4-year-old Charly du Noyer and the best French 3-year-old Django Riff.

In Sweden his son, 4-year-old Readly Express, won the Swedish Trotting Derby in convincing style last Sunday and is regarded as the next big Swedish-born international trotter.

To no surprise the 10 yearlings sired by Ready Cash who came in the ring in Deauville Wednesday night were in high demand and eight were sold. The top price, which also was the top price at the sale, was $214,000 for a colt named Farceur Pierji by Ready Cash and out of Uttia Pierji.

A filly, Familia, was sold for $180,000. She is by Ready Cash and out of the same dam as well known international trotter Timoko.

The average price for the Ready Cash yearlings could have been even higher as a filly was bought back by the breeder for $338,000.

The overall average price at the sale showed a minor plus of 2.3 percent to $41,133.

The sale continues Thursday and Friday, but no more Ready Cash yearlings are in the catalogue.
