Rocklamation, driven by Scott Zeron, scored in a stakes record time of 1:53.2 in the Forest City Pace Final Saturday night.

Driven by Scott Zeron, the strapping daughter of Rocknroll Hanover left alertly from post one before yielding the front briefly to the hard-leaving Ticket To Rock, in tow to Jody Jamieson.

Just as the field straightened up to the quarter pole, Zeron removed his charge to the front and led the field past the first quarter in :27.3. Meanwhile, stablemate Camille, who had landed the fourth spot early on, was out and on the move in the second quarter and came up to challenge the leader at the half in :57 seconds.

The top pair hooked up in the third quarter and were just heads apart at the third station in 1:25. As the field turned for home, Camille chased her barn mate right to the finish but could not get by the determined winner who eventually scored by 1-1/2 lengths.

Camille held bravely for second-over Ticket To Rock with Modern Cinderella and Ginger And Fred picking up the final checks.

“The race unfolded pretty much like I thought it would,” explained Zeron. “Jody left hard and I just wanted to get my mare through the first turn. I wanted to cut the mile and removed her to the lead. She was phenomenal again tonight and all I had to do was hang on to her.”

The victory was the eighth of the season for Rocklamation who earlier this season captured the Milton Pace at Mohawk.

The Ron Burke trainee went over $750,000 in seasonal earnings for owners Our Horse Cents Stables, Stable 45, and Jerry Silva.
