Schick not seeking reelection in District 3

Columbus, OH — District 3 Director Chris Schick, who has been a member of the U.S. Trotting Association’s board of directors since 1996 and is currently chairman of the USTA Strategic Wagering Committee, has announced that he will not be seeking reelection to the board in 2018.

“It has been a great honor to represent District 3 for more than 20 years,” said Schick who serves as the general manager of Cal Expo. “I want the membership to know that I’ll continue fighting every day for the survival and revitalization of West Coast harness racing.”

Any USTA registered member wishing to run for the open seat representing District 3 must complete the USTA Director Nomination Petition with at least 25 signatures of currently registered USTA members from that district.

The petition MUST be filed at the USTA Main Office at 6130 South Sunbury Rd., Westerville, OH 43081 no later than Nov. 18, 2017 by Registered Mail, Return Receipt Requested.

The results of the election will be announced at the district meeting scheduled for the Hilton Arden West in Sacramento, Calif., on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2018.
