Wilkes-Barre, PA — Scorpion Moon rolled to his sixth consecutive victory with a front-running win in the featured $22,000 Open Handicap Trot on Monday afternoon, June 16, at Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs.

Leaving from an outside post in a field of eight that took place as a driving rainstorm began, Scorpion Moon grabbed the lead from Mireille AS shortly before the three-eighths-mile mark and never relinquished it, finishing 2-1/2 lengths in front in 1:55.4. Nicole’s Promise was second and Bacon Hill Scott third.

Driven by Stephane Bouchard, Scorpion Moon has now won six Open Trots in a row at Pocono and Tioga Downs, and seven out of eight overall this year.

Owned by Tracy Brainard, also the trainer, and Andrew Herzog, the 7-year-old gelding sired by Armbro Scorpion now owns 46 career wins with career earnings of over $305,000.
