It’s “Bronze” for Kim Miloszar & Guys Khan
By Anne Chunko

New Jersey resident Kim Miloszar and her 16-year-old gelding Guys Khan have earned their Bronze level certificate in the Medallion Program.

The pair passed their 500 hour mark, the amount needed for a Bronze certificate, in late July 2005. They have spent hours practicing dressage, huntseat, and jumping. In addition, they have earned hours by trail riding, showing in hand and under saddle, and riding in hunter paces.

Miloszar and her Ghengis Khan pacer are active members of the Standardbred Pleasure Horse Organization of New Jersey, and earned some of the hours by participating in events such as the SPHO of NJ Easter Egg Hunt, SPHO of NJ trail rides, and the National Standardbred Show. In addition, they compete in open shows against various breeds.

Miloszar adopted Guys Khan through the Standardbred Retirement Foundation in September 2002. The bay was the sixth foal out of the Harold J. mare Beverly Pride. He raced lightly, then was a trail horse before being given to the foundation to place in a new home.

Miloszar and Guys Khan will continue enjoying SPHO events, trail rides, and improving their dressage and jumping while working toward their Silver level certificate, earned after 1,000 hours.
