Sheer Desire scores in 1:49.4 in Kentucky Sire Stakes Final

Columbus, OH — Sheer Desire paced a final quarter in :27 to reach the finish line in 1:49.4 in the $300,000 Kentucky Sire Stakes final for 3-year-old pacing colts/geldings on Sunday night (Sept. 6) at The Red Mile.

Sheer Desire was a 1:49.4 winner in the final for 3-year-old colt/gelding pacers.

It was one of eight $300,000 Sire Stakes finals contested on the holiday weekend program.

Matt Kakaley was in the bike for trainer Ron Burke as the Real Desire-Carolache gelding overcame post eight to defeat Carnivore (Ron Pierce) by 1-3/4 lengths, with Real Image (Chris Page) third.

The winner is owned by Burke Racing Stable, Randy Ringer, JJK Stables and Lawrence Karr.
