Snow White rebounds in Duenna

East Rutherford, NJ — They were, of course, not the quality of fillies Snow White would have faced in the Hambletonian Oaks on Saturday, had she qualified instead of making a break, but North State Street Stable, Harness The Power and Jerry Silva’s Snow White was dominant in the $30,000 Duenna Invitational for 3-year-old trotting fillies on Friday night (August 1) at the Meadowlands.

Snow White was a 1:53.2 winner for John Campbell in the Duenna.

The freshman champion looked every inch a champion, racing through fractions of :27.2, :56 and 1:24.2. Once she had taken the lead on the backstretch, driver John Campbell needed only to keep from falling out of the bike to ensure the victory.

Snow White, trained by Kevin Lare, had opened a six length lead going into the final turn, and although Kiss The Dice (Daniel Dube) had come after her Snow White was a 3-1/2 length winner. Along The Way (Michel Lachance) was an even more distant third. The mile was timed in 1:53.2.

Snow White, who had a setback this past winter when she was operated on for a throat problem, won for the third time in five starts this year. She now has 14 wins in 18 lifetime tries, and now sports a $1,433,551 bankroll.

Snow White (Self Possessed-Mom’s Millionaire, by Pine Chip) was bred by Moni Market Breeders of New York.
