Pompano Beach, FL — Donald Soderstrom’s Sody’s Moonshine will look to complete a sweep of the Gator Pacing Series for Florida-bred juvenile colts and geldings on Saturday (July 14) when headlining a field of nine that will congregate at Pompano Park for the $18,300 final, the richest in the history of the series.

After taking the first leg of the Gator Series on June 30 with a victory in 2:00.3, Sody’s Moonshine returned to the winner’s circle with a second leg triumph on July 7 where he prevailed by nearly six lengths while stopping the timer in 1:58.

Trained by Jay Sears, Sody’s Moonshine has been installed as the 5-2 morning line favorite for the Gator Series Final and will be driven from post seven by Kevin Wallis.

George Johnson, Jr. and Stephen Parker’s Mc Flash has drawn the rail for Saturday’s final and is listed as the 7-2 second choice in the morning line.

Mc Flash has been the runner-up in each of his two previous appearances in the Gator Series, most recently checking in behind Sody’s Moonshine in last weekend’s second leg.

Brad Hanners will be at the controls of Mc Flash for trainer George Lindsay.

Some Call Me Joe, who prevailed in 2:00.1 when taking a second leg division of the Gator Series on July 7, returns for Saturday’s final for the ownership of Comedy Hill Racing Stable and driver/trainer Gaston Lareau.

The son of Mannart Howard has drawn post nine and is listed at 12-1 in the morning line.
