Ft. Washington, MD — Several events that include 3-year-old pacers and trotters dot the 13-race card slated for Saturday (May 26) at Rosecroft Raceway, and stakes-eligible horses are in to go throughout the evening. A $2,400 superfecta carryover is also set for the fourth race.

In the third race, a conditioned pace for fillies and mares worth $4,100, Thevoodoothatyoudo will try for her second consecutive win with Frank Milby in the bike. The 3-year-old Nuclear High filly, owned and trained by Richard Hans, showed impressive gate speed in her last start to win from post seven. Currently, Thevoodoothatyoudo shows a lifetime mark of 1:56.

Hot Hip Happening looks promising as well for owner-trainer-driver Betsy Brown. The 3-year-old Nuclear High filly has been on the board in her last six starts, winning four of them. After gaining the lead with a first-over trip last week, the filly just missed the win by a nose to Social Impact.

In the fifth race, a maiden trot for $3,000, more than half of the field is eligible for Maryland stakes races. Jimmy And Josh, racing for owner-trainer Leon Harris, will leave the gate from the rail with Chris Offutt at his lines. Shenandoah Shag is next from post two; the 3-year-old Go Get Lost gelding is trained by Betsy Brown and will race on lasix for his first lifetime start. The gelding is co-owned by Terry Kibler and Marvin Sigler, and Tim Curtin will drive.

Go Get Blanche, who had a rather successful 2-year-old season, will start from post three with trainer Dan Myer at her lines. The 3-year-old Go Get Lost filly is co-owned by the Bdmck Stable and James McGinnis. Last year the filly won over $27,000 at Rosecroft.

VIP Vacation is another to consider after posting a good qualifying mile in 2:01.4. Trainer Basil Sapienza has named Cliff Green as driver and the pair will leave the gate from post four. The 3-year-old Dream Vacation gelding is co-owned by Louis Petka and Felix Mark.

Lady Viking, a 3-year-old Oak Grove filly racing for the Gazzerro connections will start from post six and Cadence Hope, a 3-year-old CR Commando filly, will come from post seven for trainer-driver John Lee.

The seventh race, a distaff maiden pace, has Jamiedoyaluvme and Tidewater Gee Gee starting from posts five and six, respectively. Jamiedoyaluvme, a 3-year-old Misfit filly co-owned by Alvin Mindel and trainer George Bartlett, shows recent improvement with a third place finish in 2:00.1. Brandon Givens is set to drive the filly.

Tidewater Gee Gee, one of the favorites on the card, will make her first start back since the fall Sire Stakes series for 2-year-olds. Now 3, the Ataturk filly qualified on May 16 at Rosecroft in 1:58.4. Trevor Stafford trains for owner Thomas Singleton, and Donnie Russell will drive.

Man On Fire is the overwhelming morning line choice at 8-5 in the tenth race, a conditioned trot for $3,600. The 3-year-old SJ’s Caviar gelding, co-owned by James Harris, Paul Long and trainer Jeff Long, will start from post six with Vic Kirby in the bike. Last time at Rosecroft, Man On Fire won by a landslide in 1:58.1 with a closing quarter of :28.4.

Betsy Brown’s Western Invader headlines the 13th race at 5-2 odds. Dropping down in class to a non-winners of one for $3,000, the 3-year-old Allie’s Western gelding shows strong speed, recently pacing in 1:56.

Future Art will be a contender as well for co-owners Marshall Lee Herrin and Joe Offutt, who also trains. The 3-year-old Arturo gelding, set to be driven by Timmy Offutt, was fourth his last start in 2:00.

Post time for Saturday’s card is 7:20 p.m.
