Harrington Raceway Pick-4 Races 3-6, Tuesday May 24, 2011
Last week we were able to get some prices in our pick 4, however our single did not come through, hence we missed out on a nice payoff.
$1 play: 1-2-3-5-8 / 4 / 2-3-5 / 2-4-7 = $45
Analysis:
Conservative plays can reduce the action we’ve got in the first leg, but I feel there are several contenders here. #8 Shardon’s Debutante has been a fixture in the guaranteed pick 4 the last few weeks and has offered tremendous value. Tonight she is stepping up in class and has post 8, but her current form is tremendous.
In the second leg, #4 looked like a runaway last week and won with ease. She’s the most likely single in the pick 4 sequence.
As for the final two legs, I think you have to be somewhat liberal here although I suppose if you wanted to cut back on cost you could try to single #3 Bluff’s Real Deal in the 5th race (third leg) considering she won at this level very easily last time. The final leg is a bit more wide open.
