Harrington, DE — Martin Scharf’s Stonebridge Kisses ($5.00, Brandon Givens) put together a fierce rally in the stretch to win Tuesday’s featured $21,000 Mares Open in 1:54 at Harrington Raceway.

Stonebridge Kisses rallied in the lane to win the Mares Open.

The 7-year-old Artiscape mare got away sixth in the six-horse field as Ireneonthemove fought hard for the lead and set fractions of :27.1, :55.3 and 1:24.4 while last week’s winner Dance Hall was outside the entire mile.

Meanwhile, Stonebridge Kisses geared up four wide on the final turn and surged by for the win. Ireneonthemove held second, while Yada Yada Yada A took the show money.

“Kisses” has now banked more than $837,000 and nearly $200,000 in 2007.

Drivers Corey Callahan and Ross Wolfenden each won three races on the card.
