Streaks on the line; Mack Lobell draws two divisions for Friday

Pompano Beach, Florida – February 15, 2005 – Two trotting horses with three-race win streaks on the line head the harness racing action at Pompano Park Wednesday.

Unbeaten Highway Hanover goes for his 4th straight win in the 3rd race trot. The five-year-old gelding starts from post six and is the 7/2 morning line favorite for driver Richard Simard.

Kingston’s Alive is also on a three-race streak and is the 2-1 favorite in the 10th race trot. He starts from post four for driver Wally Hennessey.

The trotters are also in the limelight in the 7th race $8,000 Open II Handicap as Midgie tries to make it two straight. The 8-year-old gelded son of Donerail will have it tough with starting from the far outside in post 8 for driver Wally Hennesey. Last week he wired the field by two open lengths in 1:57.1.

The 2-1 favorite is U Toe The Bike from the Bruce Ranger Stable. They start from the rail after finishing third to Midgie last week. In his previous start he came from off the pace to win in 1:55.4.

There will be two $17,500 second round divisions of the Mack Lobell Trot on Friday. Post position draw took place Tuesday and the two divisions are scheduled as the 7th race 9th races.

The 7th race first division features double-gaited world record holder Chucaro Ahijuna from post five. Last week he won his opening round division with a decisive 1:55.2 victory for driver Kevin Wallis. Also entered are Hero Pit, Ultimate Sundance, Beepbeep Move Over, Sweet Count, Crest and Make It Hot.

Track record holder Damon Runyon heads the 9th race second division after winning last week in by a neck in 1:57.1 for driver Wally Hennessey. They take on True Story, Bubba Dunn, Guy Gets Girl, Hellava Hush, Double Eagle and Dunkster.
