HARRINGTON, Del. – La Express Stable and Jill Roland’s Tarport Erin went wire-to-wire Sunday to win the $132,525 Lady Maud Stakes in a track record time for 3-year-old pacing fillies of 1:53.3 at Harrington Raceway.

Tarport Erin is joined by a happy set of connections in the winners circle, who are presented a trophy from track GM Jim Boese.

Driven by Sean Bier for trainer Brian Roland, the Cam’s Card Shark filly was sent for the lead from post one where she would have a parked favorite Freezer Cash on the outside, setting fractions of 28.1, 56.4 and three quarters in 1:25.2. Ain’t Goin Back (Ben Stafford Jr.) launched a second over rally that fell a head short at the wire as Tarport Erin lasted. West End (David Miller) was third.

It was the fourth win of the year for Tarport Erin.
