Teague veterans qualify at Harrah’s Chester

Columbus, OH — A pair of veteran 6-year-old pacers from the George Teague, Jr. stable qualified today at Harrah’s Chester.

2006 Pacer of the Year Total Truth went wire-to-wire with Teague in the bike in a time of 1:54, with a final quarter in :28.2. He posted fractions of :28.2, :57, and 1:25.3.

The Jenna’s Beach Boy-Babe Ruthless stallion has earned $2,015,433 in his career with 18 lifetime wins. Total Truth has yet to make a pari-mutuel start in 2009; he has three previous qualifying efforts, including a 1:54.3 victory on May 26 at Harrah’s Chester.

Western Ace, who last raced in January at Dover Downs, returned to the track with a 1:56.4 qualifying score. Teague was also in the bike behind the Western Ideal-Alice Alice gelding who led every step of the mile through splits of :30.2, 1:00.1, and 1:28.2.

A winner of $1,673,917 in his career, Western Ace has 23 lifetime victories and a mark of 4,1:48.4.
