Team France wins Drivers’ Cup

from the USTA Communications Department

Paris, France — Sunday (June 26) was the fourth and final leg of the Drivers’ Cup at Vincennes racetrack. Going into the final race of the competition Team America held a 14 point lead, but it was not enough to hang on for the overall win.

Team France dominated, with their drivers finishing first through fifth and Team America drivers falling behind. The final tally was 140-112.

Though Team America was unable to bring the trophy home to the United States the competition was a fantastic success, demonstrating the camaraderie and strong relationship between French and American harness racing.
