Monticello, NY — In what is annually amateur racing’s greatest showcase, three trots in the C.K.G. Billings Amateur Driving Series and one pace featuring local amateur club champions in the Tim Fouts Memorial will be on tap at Delaware, Ohio, on Sunday, Sept. 20, at the home of the world famous Little Brown Jug.

Ladies and gentlemen from all over the United States will convene to compete in the amateur ranks and then break bread after the competitions at one of harness racing’s greatest venues.

The Billings trots are slated as races one, three, and seven on the lengthy 16-race card while the Fouts Memorial will be contested as race 10.

Many of the top Billings drivers will be on hand to participate. However, Midwest Region point leader Kelly “Sky” Walker and Eastern Region point leader Todd “the Downeaster” Whitney are not slated to drive on Sunday.

The Fouts Memorial features representatives from many local amateur clubs as well as a delegate from the C.K.G. Billings Amateur Driving Series and one from the North American Amateur Drivers Association.

As the Billings Series heads into the fall with just two more months of driving competitions, members are looking to pad their point totals with some jockeying for positions to decide if they will compete in the Midwest or Eastern Regional Finals.

The Midwest Region Final will be at Balmoral Park on Sunday, November 22, while the Eastern Region Final is set for Monday, November 23, at Yonkers Raceway.
