Ft. Washington, MD — Traider Raider is programmed as the 2-1 morning line favorite in a claiming event worth a purse of $6,000 at Rosecroft Raceway on Tuesday, September 25, with a drop down in class from the Open II Pace.

Trained by Brian Callahan, the 9-year-old Keystone Raider gelding was fourth last week against a challenging field, finishing just over three lengths off of the winner in 1:54.3. Regular reinsman Victor Kirby will be aboard for the drive, and the pair will leave the gate from post position one. Callahan co-owns the classy pacer with William Stevenson.

At 7-2 early odds, Rusty’s Townie returns from Harrah’s Chester after two starts over the Pennsylvania oval. Last week, the 5-year-old Tune Town gelding took a misstep at the start of the mile and finished seventh. However, on September 5, Rusty’s Townie was a winner in 1:54.1 against similar competition. Donnie Russell drives, trains and co-owns the gelding with Edward Needle.

Rounding out the field are San Diego (Billy Mann, 8-1), Armbro Cancun (John Wagner, 6-1), Family Fortune (Wayne Long, 6-1), Whiskey Walt (Jonathan Roberts, 8-1), Fitful (Jeff Fout, 10-1) and Hezaumpn Bluegrass (Frank Milby, 6-1).
