Vernon, NY — Vernon Downs will host its second Thursday night of racing on May 10 with a post time scheduled for 6:45 p.m. (EDT).

Highlighting the 10-race card will be the $8,500 Open Handicap Trot, scheduled as the ninth race of the night.

Ginger Girl will look for her third win of the 2007 campaign from post position six. Ginger Girl is owned by Claude Huckabone, Jr. and Casey Miller of New York. Claude Huckabone, Jr. trains, while Claude Huckabone III will be steering the 5-year-old daughter of Eighteen Karat. Thus far in 2007, Ginger Girl has earned $40,225 in just 13 seasonal starts.

Vernon Downs races on Tuesdays at 5:00 p.m., Thursdays at 6:45 p.m., and Saturdays at 6:45 p.m.

Tioga Downs opens for its second racing season on Friday, May 11 with a post time of 6:50 p.m. (EDT).
