Pompano Beach, FL — Undefeated trotter Whosgoinwhosstayin goes for his 13th straight win on Wednesday night (April 15) at the Isle Pompano Park as the Florida-bred gelded son of Basil makes his 3-year-old debut in the opening round of the Aime Choquette Trotting Series.

Whosgoinwhosstayin and driver Mickey McNichol put their 12-race undefeated win streak on the line in the opening round of the Aime Choquette Trotting Series.

Starting from post seven in the first race division, Whosgoinwhosstayin will be driven by Mickey McNichol and is the 2-1 morning line favorite. If he can win his first start back in 2009 he will tie the track record for most consecutive wins. That record of 13 straight wins is held by You’re Next and was set in 2006.

Trained by Linda Kakaley and co-owned by Kakaley with Sophia Valkanoff, it will not be a “walk in the park” for Whosgoinwhosstayin in his debut. He faces a stellar field that includes Jerry Silva and Mathias Meinzinger’s Spiceberry Hanover.

The well-bred filly, sired by Cantab Hall from the Conway Hall mare, Slow Dance Hanover, won her 2009 debut at the Isle Pompano Park last week, wiring the field in 2:00 for trainer Ron Gurfein and driver Wally Hennessey. Spiceberry Hanover starts from post five and is the 3-1 second choice in the race.

Two other top contenders include Trot Monster (post six), who has won three of his last five starts including a lifetime record of 1:58.4 and Bella Diva (post two), who in her last start won in 2:00.

The series is named after trotting expert, Aime Choquette, who was Hall of Famer Delvin Miller’s second trainer for more than 50 years. Choquette, 94, is still a regular patron at the Isle Pompano Park and attends the races every night.

Wednesday’s card also features the opening rounds of the Springboard Pacing Series for mares and the Spring Fling Trotting Series for $8,000 claimers.
