Driven by Eddie Davis Jr., “Legend” sat a pocket journey behind pacesetting Sweet Apple Annie (Eddie Dennis), who went to the front after second-choice Mark (George Dennis) made a break behind the gate.

In the Miss Harrington, Ain’t Goin Back was the 3-to-5 choice and set fractions of 28.1, 56.4, and 1:25.1, while pocket sitting Ellen ‘s Beach Babe (Brad Hanners) chased throughout and surged by in the stretch in 1:54.2, a lifetime best. Front Tier Power (Jim Morand) was third.
