USTA Charity Golf Outing raises $6,600

Columbus, OH — The 12th annual USTA Charity Golf Outing attracted over 50 golfers on Wednesday August 12, to the Foxfire Golf Club in Lockbourne, Ohio.

John Clodfelder and Terry Warner were the two-person scramble champions.

The event raised over $6,600 for the USTA Youth/Outreach Programs. The two-person scramble champions with a score of 63 were John Clodfelder and Terry Warner, who came all the way from North Carolina to participate and defend the title of champions that they earned at the 2008 golf outing.

Other tournament winners were: Jeff Hastings and Jeff Moore (winners of the second flight) with a score of 72; Phil Terry and Fred Neace (winners of the third flight) with a score of 79; Dennis Fisher (longest putt); Mike McNeely, TC Lane and Phil Langley (closest to the pin); Mindy Graney (longest drive, women) and Jim Arledge, Jr. (longest drive, men); and 50/50 Cash Raffle winner, Jeff Moore.

A special thanks to all the winners who donated their winnings back to USTA Outreach!

Door prizes and gifts were provided by Jim Coulter, the Delaware County Fair, Embroidery Unlimited, The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown, Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame, the Ohio Harness Horsemen’s Association, Scioto Downs, the United States Trotting Association and the USTA/HTA/NTRA Member Benefits Program.
